Mike Has MS

Medical Crap

I got up this morning and took my Straterra like I do every morning. But lately, it’s been making my stomach upset when I take it, regardless of whether or not I take it with food. After my shower, I ended up lying back down for a little while. I was late for work, but it’s better than being sick at work.  I do have a call into that doctor’s office to see if we can change the dosage. Right now, I’m on one 60 mg capsule in the morning. When I was first on it,  I was taking one 25 mg capsule twice a day. I want to see if the lower dosage spread out through the day makes a difference.

When I got to work, the assistance from my neurologist’s office called me. She is snowed in, and it appears that most of her patients are, too. So I’m being rescheduled for later in the week. This actually works to my advantage, as we’ll have time to schedule the MRI before the appointment. I’m really not sure I like this neurologist that much.

Last night, I was watching Episode IV and then started watching some of V. Reggie was all wound up for some reason.

About

My name is Mike Hillwig and I live in Boston with my pug, Reggie. I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in January 2003 but have been living with MS for much longer than that. This is where you'll find my story, stories, and my history.

I want this site to be a place where people can read about my experiences with MS. I was fortunate enough to catch it really early and my results on drug therapies have been outstanding. This should be a place where people can realize that they can lead a normal life with MS. MS has changed my life, but it hasn't ended it.
